Situated at the Top end of High Street on the New Road junction and situated next to the old Methodist Chapel, the infant school was built in ----- to accommodate the growing number of children in the village, the original School on the corner of High Street and Old Road having run out of space. The land was sold to the church by Robert Thompson, who owned amongst other things the Cornmill.
