Welcome to the Luddenden Village History Group

This set of Wiki pages is a repository of information and links collected and curated by members of this group. The hope is that it will grow over time with contributions made by everyone.
What we do
- We explore the history of Luddenden and the Luddenden Dean water catchment area.
- We publish this research referencing the original sources documents where these exist.
- We explore deeds and documents held by householders in the village.
- We look at the valley's geology and geography, habitation and industry, people and places, lives and deaths, wealth and poverty, pubs and clubs, religions, churches and chapels, historic houses, schools and education.
