Our Village History Group was formed on 11th Dec 2024.

WHAT WE DO

• We explore the history of Luddenden and the Luddenden Dean water catchment area.
• We publish this research referencing the original sources documents where these exist.
• We explore deeds and documents held by householders in the village.
• We look at the valley's geology and geography, habitation and industry, people and places, lives and deaths, wealth and poverty, pubs and clubs, religions, churches and chapels, historic houses, schools and education.
